Holy cow! Glen had his eighth winning Card Night in a row, taking home $109.00 as the big winner for the night. Only Mike Stefanidis (9), Paul Huyser (12), and Mark DeVol (13) have had longer winning streaks.
During a hand of Omaha Hi-Lo, Mike bet on the river. Paul called, and Phil called. Mike turned over a full house to scoop the pot.
Phil had had a straight, so Mark said, “Phil you shouldn’t have called because there was a possible full house and a possible flush out there and Paul called Mike’s bet in front of you so you have to assume your straight was no good.”
Phil said, “Well, at least I learned a lesson by calling.”
Mike said, “Phil, you would have gotten the lesson even if you hadn’t called.”
After Card Night was over, Paul complained to Mike that Mark had been particularly mean to him. Mark then told Mike, “Paul may not like me. He may even hate me. But at the end of the day, I’m going to make him into the best damn poker player he can be.”
