Mary’s daughter’s birthday party was tonight, so she had informed us that she wouldn’t be coming to Cards. When Mike arrived at Mark DeVol’s house, he was ready to take wagers as to whether or not Mary would show up when the party was finished. (Actually, he was pretty sure Mary was coming; he would have been happy taking over/under bets as to when she’d actually show.)
No one took the bet, but Mary did show up around 8:30. She quickly dropped close to 40 bucks (thanks to running into Mike’s nut low in Buck ’em), but made a nice recovery and only lost $19 for the night.
Blog Fodder was complaining about having to deal so much, and who could blame him? He’s the King of Misdeals, and really struggles with the Kem cards. At one point, he dealt out four cards on the flop! It was like watching Clayton deal blackjack.
Mike continued his red-hot streak winning $100 for the night. He’s won $455 in his last eight sessions.
