Card Night 17-May-2012

Mike Stefanidis has lost $420.00 over the last three Card Nights he’s attended.  But despite that, here’s how huge his 2012 lead was at one point:

  • He’s still the 2012 money leader amongst regular Card Night players
  • He’s got the best win-loss record for the year
  • He’s got the best record for last 10 Card Nights attended.

During a round of Seven-Card Stud, Paul went to the bathroom right before a hand was dealt.  He was on the button, so we put his ante in.  It turns out he was also the bring-in (showing a deuce), so we put that in for him as well.  No one completed, so he got a second up-card, a 7.  Someone bet, and when action got around to Paul, he still wasn’t back from the bathroom, so we folded him.

When he returned, he looked at his hand: Trip 7s.

Only five people showed up tonight.  (Bill forgot it was Card Night.)  Then Mike left early, leaving only four of us for the last half hour.  As a result, jackpot grew quickly.  It’s now over $100.00 again.

Now’s not the time to not come to Cards.

Mark D +$44.00
Paul +$77.00
Jeff ‑$106.00
Mike S ‑$104.00
Glen +$67.00

Jackpot is now $103.00.

Card Night 10-May-2012

Despite Mary having a big win and Paul having a big loss, there wasn’t a lot of action tonight.

We were only four-handed until about 8:00 p.m.

Four-Three was called three times, and each time the game ended on the first deal.

On a Texas Hold ’em board of 3-4-6-7-8, Paul bet $4.00.  Mary looked at the board, then at Paul, and said, “I don’t think you have anything.”  Mary called with just ace high.  Paul also had ace high, and Mary won when her queen kicker beat Paul’s 10.

Ty ‑$24.00
Mark D +$21.00
Mary +$145.00
Paul ‑$138.00
Jeff +$74.00
Miguel ‑$72.00
Glen ‑$24.00

Jackpot is now $81.00.
