When Jack called a round of Screw Your Neighbor, it led to a heated discussion as to whether or not the player on the button would be “king stopped” if he drew a king off the top of the deck. Jack didn’t quite understand the situation initially, but after a lot of overlapping input from everyone, Jack decided that the player would be king stopped off the deck. Jerry felt that the proponents of that rule (in particular Mark DeVol who had been particularly vocal during the discussion), had forced the argument to continue until Jack made the decision that he did (when earlier it had appeared Jack would make the opposite decision), and Jerry refused to participate in the game.
