Card Night 25-Mar-2014

Bill keeps chuggin’ along.  Not a huge win for him tonight, but a win nonetheless.  He says he owes his luck to the new card protector he’s been using.

Meanwhile Chris, who had a sensational February, finished up a dismal March with another loss, his third in a row (a new personal record).  Everything has sort of evened out for him in 2014 as he is now up only $13.00 on the year.

Mark D +$14.00
Mary +$56.00
Bill +$43.00
Chris ‑$90.00
Jason ‑$2.00

Jackpot is now $22.00.

Card Night 18-Mar-2014

For only the second time in Card Night history, we had a total of ten players tonight.  The reason was because we were drawing our teams for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the results of which you can see here.

The last time we had ten players was back on 14-Mar-2012, another night where we drew teams for the tournament.  However on that night, we never had all ten players playing at once.  Tonight, thanks to a large table provided by Mike Stefanidis, all ten players were able to play at the same time.

Uh, could someone please do something about Bill?  He’s up $684.00 for the year, and it’s only March 18!  At this rate he’ll win over $2,800.00 in 2014.  Wha?

Mark D ‑$24.00
Mary ‑$88.00
Paul +$11.00
Bill +$231.00
Chris ‑$67.00
Jeff +$147.00
Lyndon +$17.00
Jason ‑$181.00
Mike S ‑$96.00
Glen +$35.00

Jackpot is now $43.00.

Card Night 11-Mar-2014

Mark DeVol introduced a new version of Buck ’em tonight.  Whenever someone lost a challenge, he only lost an amount equal to how much he had anted so far.  So if someone lost a challenge on the first round, he would only lose $1.00.  If he lost a challenge on the third round, he’d lose $3.00.  Only the eventual winner of the game (the player that got two legs) won the entire plot.

The game went over pretty well.  People were pleased that it wasn’t as risky to declare high or low, or to challenge someone.  It also reduced the chances of getting dogged, and reduced the amount of money you lost if you did get dogged.

Mark D ‑$10.00
Bill +$66.00
Chris ‑$107.00
Jeff ‑$54.00
Lyndon +$34.00
Jason +$21.00
Glen +$33.00

Jackpot is now $28.00.
