We’ve had Card Night three weeks in a row! That hasn’t happened in over six months.

Card Night 22-Oct-2019

Prior to tonight, there had been only two times in Card Night history when two players won jackpot on the same hand:

• On 20-Sep-2004, Mark Huyser and Paul Huyser each won jackpot when they were the only two players left in a hand of Texas Hold ’em and four 10s showed up on the board.
• On 09-Jun-2011, Mike Stefanidis’s jack-high straight flush beat Mary’s four 7s in a hand of Omaha Hi-Lo.

Well it happened for third time tonight when the 6 of diamonds on the river gave Mark DeVol four 6s and Bill Connor a 10-high straight flush in a hand of 2-11 Poker.

Mark called two new games tonight: Spaghetti and Dillinger.  We might play Spaghetti again.  We probably won’t play Dillinger again.

It’s been 10 weeks since we’ve had Card Night and 21 weeks since we’ve played at Mark DeVol’s house!

Mark called two new games tonight:

• New Jersey Hold ’em, where players are initially dealt four cards, two of which they have to discard after the first betting round.  The flop, turn, and river are then dealt from the players’ discards.
• Cemetery, sort of a cross between Bingo and Hold ’em.
