No Card Night next week, so tonight was the last time we played this year.

Glen started the night up $910.00 for the year.  If he could win $90 tonight, he’d hit the $1,000.00 mark.

At the end of the night, Glen was up $88.00.  We all threw our quarters into the middle of the table for showdown.  The pot was $2.00.

Glen won showdown, bringing his total for the night to +$90.00 and his total for the year to exactly +$1,000.00.

Mike Stefanidis attended his fewest Card Nights ever in a single year.  He showed up only 27 out of the 49 times we played.

Warren also attended his fewest Card Nights in a year (2), as did Lyndon (6) and Jason (2).

Meanwhile, Jeff and Miguel attended their most Card Nights in a year (41 and 12 respectively).

Card Night 15-Dec-2011

One of Mark DeVol’s December games tonight was Blackjack Poker.  It was Seven-Card Stud where the winning poker hand splits the pot with the winning Blackjack hand.  (The Blackjack hand was determined by the players’ hole cards.)  The game played surprisingly well.

It’s the middle of December, and Lyndon finally posted his first winning Card Night of the year!  (He has only attended five times this year.)

Paul is finishing up the year strong.  Although this will turn out to be one of his worst years ever (if not the worst), he’s currently riding a winning streak of eight Card Nights.

Card Night 08-Dec-2011

Paul got some birthday abuse tonight on a couple hands of Omaha Hi-Lo.

On the first one, Paul had a straight on the flop.  But when the turn put a third heart on the board, Mark DeVol raised Paul’s bet.  Mike Stefanidis said, “Paul, you know Mark’s got a flush.  Just fold!”  But Paul ended up calling all the way to the river to see Mark’s nut flush.

On the second one, Paul had two pair on the turn.  But when the river put a possible straight on the board, Mike raised Paul’s bet.  Mark said, “Paul, you know Mike’s got a straight.  Just fold!”  But Paul called the raise and was greeted with Mike’s nut straight.

Bill had a rough night, dropping $116.00.  Back on July 7, Bill was up $567.00 for the year.  Since then it’s been a steady decline for him, and now he’s actually down $60.00 for the year.

Card Night 01-Dec-2011

Jeff called a round of $2-$4 Omaha Hi-Lo with a half kill.

During one of the half kill deals (essentially a $3-$6 game), Mark DeVol bet $3 from the button on a flop of Q-8-5 rainbow.  Phil, Mary, and Jeff called.

The turn was a 9.  Jeff bet $6, and Mark raised to $12.  Phil and Mary cold called, and Jeff called.

The river was a 5.  The board was now Q-8-5-9-5.  Jeff bet $6.  Mark raised to $12.  Phil thought for a while and folded a straight.  Mary folded.

Jeff re-raised to $18.  “Uh-oh,” said Mark, making the call.

Jeff turned over quad 5s.  Mark had the nut full house (queens full).

Jeff scooped a pot of over $100.
