Mark Huyser was a surprise player tonight, having not attended Card Night for an entire year. He rounded out the table at nine players, the first time that’s happened since July 19, 2005.
Yes, Glen’s winning streak continues. He recorded his tenth consecutive Card Night win. (Only Paul (12), and Mark DeVol (13) have had longer streaks.) During those ten wins he’s taken home $639.00.
Paul won jackpot early when he flopped four aces in Texas Hold ’em. But that’s about all the luck he had. He ended up losing $112.00, which is a record for someone who’s won jackpot the same night.
Mark DeVol and Mike were involved in a hand of Texas Hold ’em that saw both players checking on the turn and the river. The board was J-8-9-9-5. Mark turned over a 10-8 for two pair. Mike turned over 10-7 of hearts complaining, “I was trying to hit a flush.” Mike didn’t realize he had flopped a straight. Mike scooped the modest pot.
