A lot of the regular players were AWOL tonight, so it was nice that John was able to make it. Although Paul and Mary might disagree.
John’s night started out rough after losing some big pots. In one hand of Texas Hold ’em, John had 7s full of aces on the turn, only to lose on the river when Bill hit a two-outer to make kings full of 7s.
John was in for sixty bucks when Bill called Buck ’em.
The pot got up to almost forty dollars when John got his big hand. He went head-to-head with Mary once and Paul twice, beating them each time. On that round alone he made over $100. Then two rounds later, he ended up winning the game!
The rich got richer when it came around to Bill’s deal again and he called Chase the Ace. John took down that game as well; in fact, he never lost a single round! All three of his two-dollar stacks were in front of him when he scooped the pot.
