Card Night 26-Apr-2012

Mike Stefanidis is still the big winner for 2012, but his massive lead has been cut significantly thanks to two big losses in a row.  Tonight he dropped $208.00 after suffering some bad beats.

He chose to leave Card Night an hour early, simply posting his big and small blinds and immediately folding in a round of Omaha Hi-Lo to finish his night.  (It turns out he would have won both of those hands had he not folded.)  Mike was concerned about breaking the record for worst Card Night ever.  Had he stayed and continued at the same pace, he would have indeed broken that record, losing more than $300.00.

Two of the bad beats he suffered were at the hands of Jeff in Four-Three.  First Mike made three-of-a-kind only to lose to Jeff’s wheel.  (Jeff also beat Bill’s 6-high for low on that hand.)  Later, Mike made a full house (queens full of jacks) only to lose to Jeff’s four-of-a-kind aces.

Meanwhile, Paul’s second big win in a row has him back in the race for best results for the year.

As of now, here are your 2012 leaders:

Mike S +$366.00
Jason +$281.00
Paul +$277.00
Phil +$196.00

Mark D +$20.00
Mary ‑$6.00
Paul +$127.00
Bill +$4.00
Jeff +$96.00
Mike S ‑$208.00

Jackpot is now $63.00.
