In the late afternoon, Warren called to ask if there was room for Ike and him to play cards tonight. Of course there was, seeing as Mike had said he wouldn’t be able to make it.
Mike showed up. Ike didn’t.
The room was hot, and the air stunk of BO and farts (literally), the perfect setting for another Card Night. Folding was out of the question (except for Mark DeVol who always folded) as players with little or no hope of winning a pot called or even sometimes raised all the way to the river.
