We don’t start collecting for jackpot (and players are not eligible to win jackpot) until 7:00 p.m. That doesn’t mean we can’t start playing before 7:00 p.m., it just means that any hands dealt before then are not jackpot eligible.
Sure enough, we started the night just prior to 7:00 p.m. with a round of Drawmaha, and Bill was dealt five 9s. No jackpot!
On the same round of Drawmaha, but now after 7:00 p.m., Jeff made four aces on the Omaha hand winning the biggest jackpot of the year so far: $35.75.
Later during a hand of Big O, Jeff folded his hand on the flop not realizing he had a straight flush draw. He would have made the steel wheel on the river, scooped the pot, and won another jackpot.
