I recall that on a hand of Badugi, I made (or thought I’d made) a 7-high badugi hand in my first draw. And I was in good position. So I raised aggressively in the next couple of bets, not taking any cards in the 2nd draw. Then I noticed that my 5 of “diamonds” was actually a 5 of hearts and I did not have a Badugi. I had to exchange a card at the 3rd draw, feeling like an idiot (a couple of players caught that). Luckily I drew the 5 of diamonds and made my hand. There should be a name for this type of error; it happens often enough. A “bad-beat-read ?”
