On a hand of Happy Omaha Hi-Lo (see the 21-Jan-2004 entry for a description of the game), it came down to Glen and Mary at the end. After the final betting round, they both turned up their hands. Glen announced he had a flush for high, while Mary announced she had the low. The pot was split up, but just before the hands were mucked, Jeff chimed in, “Glen, you’ve got a straight flush.” Sure enough, Glen had failed to notice he had a straight flush and thus was entitled to 75% of jackpot. “No wonder I never win jackpot!” Glen exclaimed. “I never notice that I’ve won!”
