Bill suffered one of the worst bad beats we’ve seen at Card Night.
The game was Stud 8. On the river there were three players left: Bill, Paul, and Jason.
Bill looked down at his cards. He had 6-5-4-3-2. The kind of hand you dream of in Stud 8. A straight, and a 6-high low. A hand you can scoop with.
Bill bet and raised as much as he could. Then came showdown. Bill showed his hand.
Unfortunately, Paul had made a bigger straight. Oh, well. That happens. At least Bill still had his 6-high.
Then Jason turned over his hand: 6-4-3-2-A. A lower 6-high.
Bill went from a possible scoop to winning nothing.
He did have some consolation, though, as he was the big winner for the night.
