After recording his second worst Card Night ever last week, Bill came roaring back with his third best Card Night tonight: +$147.00. A good chunk of that came from a round of Buck ’em called by Mike Stefanidis that required the winner to earn three legs instead of the usual two. Bill won the game when the pot had reached $87.75.
Jeff had a winning session for his fourth Card Night in a row, a personal record.
The very last hand of the night was Omaha Hi-Lo. At showdown, only Mike and Mary were still in the hand, and there was no possible low on the board.
Before turning over their hands, Mike and Mary were apologizing for the bad beat each one of them was about to inflict upon the other.
Mary turned over four 7s.
Mike turned over a jack-high straight flush.
It’s only the second time in Card Night history that two people have won jackpot on the same hand. (Mark Huyser and Paul each won jackpot on the same Texas Hold ’em hand back on 20-Sep-2004 when four 10s showed up on the board.)
