Card Night 17-Nov-2009

Lyndon announced that tonight would be his last Card Night.  Although we’re sorry to see him go, we wish him luck in his life and career going forward.

Lyndon’s Card Night participation can be considered a success.  He attended 93 times, generating an overall win of $597.00.  He was the big winner for the night about once every five times he played, and he leaves with a 2009 win of $149.00.

Lyndon, you’re welcome back any time.

Bill came to Card Night straight from the watering hole, and the party continued into the night.

When the deal came around to Mary, and she didn’t call Buck ’em, Bill yelled out, “Traitor!  Traitor!  Traitor!” for what seemed like five minutes.

Mike was not feeling well, and after he quickly dropped $50.00, it looked like he was going to call it an early evening.  But, he dug back into his wallet, rebuying chips two dollars at a time, until he won a sizable pot.  That kept him alive, and he ended up staying for the whole night.

Morgan DollarPaul used a Morgan Dollar as his card protector tonight.  Morgan Dollars were silver dollar coins minted from 1878 through 1904, and again for one year in 1921.  They are named after their designer, George T. Morgan.  Depending on their minting and grade, Morgan Dollars are valued anywhere from $10 to $100,000.  (No word on how much Paul’s is worth.)

Hey! Here’s some information about the joker in Buck ‘em! For low, it’s completely wild! For high, it can be used to complete a straight, flush, or straight flush; otherwise it’s an ace!

All this information and more can be found on the Poker Games page of the Card Night Web site!
